N.C. BCCCP sponsored a series of cultural competency webcasts in 2009 for BCCCP/WISEWOMAN providers and other healthcare professionals. These webcasts focused on providing an understanding of the following, within three special population groups – American Indians, Latinos, and African Americans:
These three population groups continue to experience health disparities surrounding breast and cervical cancer and cardiovascular disease, as well as other health issues.

The NC WISEWOMAN Community Resource List has be compiled to assist providers in referring WISEWOMAN clients to affordable and accessible resources in the communities where they live, work and play. Resources are provided for physical activity, nutrtition, diabetes and tobacco cessation in each county in NC.
